From /rules:
WyvernIRC Rules
* Do not flood, in any manner
* Do not spam or excessively advertise
* Do not abuse or attack the network or its affiliated works in any manner
* Do not evade bans of any kind
* Do not promote, advocate, or assist in any form of illegal activity
* Server connections are limited to 3 per IP. Do not evade this, if you have a legitimate reason to require more then 3 connections, request an exemption in #Help
* Do not impersonate staff
* Avoid scripts that have the potential to be hazardous or obnoxious to other users
* Issues that arise on other IRC networks should be left on those networks and off WyvernIRC
* It is recommended to avoid content that may be seen as explicit or unsafe for a younger audience
*** Respect is the core philosophy to our network. Harassment of users or disrespect for them is always unacceptable. If you are being a victim of harassment or severe disrespect, you may report it confidentially to any of our network staff, or report it publicly in #help .
--Note: We do not intend to undo bans set by channel operators
*** This is real life, don't treat it like it's just some game. If you do you will offend people. Be careful about doing anything you wouldn't do in person, disrespect online is just as bad as disrespect face to face, and here it is likely to be logged, thus can be proven. Just a reminder, the users of WyvernIRC are a diverse community, and have very different things that could offend each of them.
* IRC is a privilege, not a right. The staff of WyvernIRC may remove anyone from the network for any reason, at any time.
* All network rules are subject to change by network staff.
From /motd, we also note: SpamBots, Virus-containing Bots, and similar devices are not allowed, and will be killed on sight.
The rules for the forum are the same as the rules for the IRC. Also, please keep signatures, avatars, and other such images to a reasonable size. WyvernIRC staff remains the final arbiter in these decisions, as they are with all rules violations. These rules are subject to change.
