Today the Commander Rules have been updated to allow silver-bordered cards for some time. We will see if things change on 1/15 or not. Regardless, we must do some things as a reaction to this.
I don't generally like silver-bordered cards, but I will respect that they have been made legal for now. However, I also respect that people may not want to bother. As such, I am essentially splitting the format into two:
Commander, without silver-bordered cards
Commander, with silver-bordered cards legal, with respect to the mtgcommander.net and WyvernIRC Official Banlists
Wait, a WyvernIRC banlist?
Yes. I'm going to add more silver-bordered cards to the banlist. Some cards simply will not work effectively on WyvernIRC and will cause problems that impede fun. As such, I am simply going to ban them. For an explanation of why these cards may be banned, you can ask me on WyvernIRC itself, though you might get a good idea simply by reading GoldenSandslash's excellent thread. I will note that we generally assume everyone has access to all legal cards at all times, because we allow tappedout.net built decks. This fact influences my banlist decisions.
Additional rule: Cards that reference or restrict what you do in some form, such as Censorship, if allowed at all, only apply to #mtg itself.
Additional rule: If you are not playing with physical/real cards, and you do not have a clear way to specify printing in a consistent way, your card is always assumed to be the latest printing. (This is mainly relevant for cards that ask about art or artists.) If the card is an Unstable card with multiple artworks, the variant must be specified.
Additional rule: Flavor text is not part of the "game", though it is still printed. Ignore it when making rulings about word counts and other such things.
Additional rule: All cards are assumed to be in English, and will be treated as such during the game, no matter what language your card actually is.
Additional rule: When it matters, the game is always considered to be located in San Francisco, California, USA (JaceBot's server location), as are all players.
Additional rule: When you start the game, you set your life total with JaceBot. This locks in your nick, and your nick will be considered to be that nick for the entirety of the game.
For clarity and ease, the EDH Rules Committee's list (ERCL) is added here as well

I will also add a comment about Everythingamajig's flavor text and player-swap variants. The cards have other useful abilities, so it's not outright banned. But I will ask that you be careful about them -- there's a reason My First Tome is banned, for one; do not engage in situations that will lead to arguments. And similarly, there's a reason Mirror Mirror is banned; consider the actual mechanics of trying to change entire players in this format. I recommend focusing on the other abilities, if you use it at all.
